This is a great model enterprise that has started to carve out a niche in the mobile app market for farmers. This group is oriented to global market solutions rather than local micro-economies. There is still room to develop a platform, even using existing applications in concert, to help small communities organize into a guild, share crops, manage cultivation, track diseases, and facilitate placement in the wider market.

This blog post validates my suspicion that not enough is being done to provide community members with aggregated information means that help to to leverage local resources.
